Description

Basic Concepts Foundation has partnered with Ikamva Labantu to pilot a mediated teaching approach within its Early Childhood Development programme.

Working alongside lead trainers and community-based support staff, the project strengthens intentional teaching, language-rich interactions and children's cognitive development through mentoring, coaching and practical classroom support, with the potential for wider integration across the organisation's ECD network.

Evaluation

The pilot will be evaluated through observations, practitioner portfolios, and mentoring feedback to inform future integration of mediated teaching within Ikamva Labantu's training and curriculum.
